The police
and the home ministry should stop chastising politicians and putting blame non
sensically fabricated scapegoats.
There is
every likelihood this recent spike of violent gun crime is the work of criminal
arms traders applying blue ocean strategy of kickstarting a market demand for
firearms. They will capitalise on the inevitable scramble for guns for self
defence, eapecially illegal ones.
There is
already chatter through the grapevine that there are people procuring pistols
both through legal and illegal means.
The
government should be considering stamping out the source of the firearms and
ammunition of these violent criminals and tackling that.
Whether
these weapons were on the market legitimately or otherwise, people are dying.
This tells us that we have an enforcement issue. The home ministry n PDRM should
get their heads out of the sand and start dealing with the real problem.
Or is this
inaction a sign that certain quarters within the enforcement and/or political
elites have a vested interest in maintaining this spike in gun crime and
deaths?
