沟渠5个月没清理，承包商悬空2个月，马华市议员严重疏于职守

（怡保5日讯）兵如港州议员李存孝批评兵如港区市议员疏于职守，区内的沟渠清理承包商悬空2个月，加上大约5个月没有进行清理沟渠的工作，究竟市议员领了薪水后在做什么？

李存孝是在今日接获村内商家投诉，有关水沟已经大约5个月无人清理导致严重堵塞，巡视情况时如此表示。

他说，今早商家向他投诉，有关水沟因为严重堵塞导致污水溢出马路，商家被逼自行清理水沟把堵塞物捞出，才避免整个区域受到脏臭的污水污染。

他指出，已经把有关问题传达至市政厅法律组主任，同时也发现原来承包商在去年11月已经终止合约，工作岗位悬空至今。

“市议员在地方课题方面属于实权代表，但自己区域内的工作团队悬空了那么久，加上停止服务5个月，导致问题出现，严重疏于职守！”

李存孝说，该部水沟形成堵塞，主要的原因是排水沟渠的水平、以及沟渠硬体设施方面上的缺陷，造成许多沟渠多部受到沙石，污水滞留在上流低洼地区。

此外，李存孝建议有关饮食业的商家安装过滤器，以避免油渍长期累积，成为了排水系统的负担，有关建议也被相关业者接纳。因此李存孝希望地方政府积极进行过滤器醒觉活动，鼓励饮食业商家安装过滤器，不仅减缓排水负担，也减缓了市政局的工作量，更可以让环境更加卫生。

Digelar ‘wira’, Adun Pasir Pinji ucap terima kasih kepada Timbalan Canselor Jerman

IPOH, 7 DIS: Presiden International Union of Socialist Youth (IUSY), Howard Lee digelar sebagai ‘wira’ oleh Timbalan Canselor Jerman, Sigmar Gabriel ekoran penahanan Adun Pasir Pinji itu semasa perhimpunan aman BERSIH 5 pada 19 November lepas.

Howard yang ditahan reman oleh polis atas ‘dakwaan liar dan tidak berasas’ itu mendapat pengiktirafan berkenaan secara sebulat suara dalam mesyuarat Jawatankuasa Pemandu Perikatan Progresif yang disertai Gabriel pada Khamis lepas.

“Saya ucapkan terima kasih yang tidak terhingga untuk semangat setiakawan yang ditunjukkan, termasuk gelaran ‘hero’ itu.

“Meski saya berasa malu mengenangkan bagaimana negara kita kebelakangan ini terkenal sebagai bahan ketawa dunia di bawah pemerintahan (Perdana Menteri) (Datuk Seri) Najib Razak,” ujar Howard dalam satu kenyataan, semalam.

Gabriel yang juga Ketua Umum Parti Demokrat Sosial Jerman (SPD) dalam kenyataan yang sama turut membidas dasar kerajaan Malaysia yang disifatkan sebagai menindas berikutan penahanan berkenaan.

“Kami juga telah menyaksikan dasar yang menindas di Malaysia, di mana rakan seperjuangan kita (Howard) telah dipenjarakan.

“Walaupun hanya dua hari sahaja, tetapi ia tetap melampaui batas, hanya kerana beliau menyertai demonstrasi demi menegakkan kebebasan dan hak asasi manusia.

李存孝为选民捎来好消息，兵如港选区获多项治水工程

（怡保26日讯）兵如港州议员李存孝为兵如港选区居民捎来好消息，经过长年来的争取之下，霹雳州议会终于落实了一系列的治水工程。

他指出，根据霹雳州议会回应，州政府将会拨款为兵如港水灾区进行以下建设，有关工作将会在2016年内展开：

1）为兵如港新村第11路的闪电水灾区增建翻板闸（FLAP GATE）防止沟水倒流。

2）针对兵如港新村第10路的闪电水灾问题，州政府将会重新分类所有沟渠及道路，同时改装导致沟水倒流的排水槽系统。

3）针对胜利花园（TAMAN PINJI SENI）发生20多年的闪电水灾问题，州政府将会改装毗邻的水塘成为缓冲湖。

4）河滨公园处已经损坏的箱型暗渠目前正在修复。

International group slams arrest of Howard Lee

The arrest of Howard Lee, the president of International Union of Socialist Youth (IUSY) and also the DAP Socialist Youth (Dapsy) international secretary, and other elected representatives and social activists by the police prior, during and after Bersih 5 has put the nation in shame in the eyes of the international community.

Earlier today, the Office of the IUSY president received a notification from Tibor Szanyi, Member of the European Parliament from Hungary, that a motion was filed to the EU parliament’s Human Rights Commission on the increasing concern on the human rights situation in Malaysia generally, and the arrest of Howard Lee and others activists. The motion requires a written answer from the European Parliament.

At the same time, since the arrest of Howard Lee two days ago, at least 19 political parties or organisations worldwide (as listed below) have expressed their condemn against Howard Lee’s arrest. They are also urging the Malaysian government to respect human rights.

Armand, Fahmi and Howard Lee arrested as rallies end

PETALING JAYA: Police have arrested a Red Shirt leader, Armand Azha Abu Hanifah, Perak assemblyman Howard Lee Chuan How, and graphic artist Fahmi Reza after rallies by the two rival groups ended today.

Armand, a member of Umno Youth’s executive council, was arrested at Padang Merbok after a speech in support of the Red Shirts movement.

Lee, who is the assemblyman for Pasir Pinji, was arrested at the NU Sentral shopping centre in Brickfields, according to a report in Berita Harian.

Both men are being investigated under a Penal Code provision on rioting.

Fahmi posted on Facebook that he had been arrested at the Kuala Lumpur City Centre shopping complex just after the Bersih 5 rally ended and was being taken to KL police headquarters. Earlier this year, the graphic artist was detained after posting a caricature of the prime minister Najib Razak in clown face.

Armand, 41, had earlier said at a press conference at Padang Merbok that public misconceptions about the Red Shirts movement were caused by the “Red Bean Army” of online activists who support the DAP.

He said the Red Shirt group was not racist nor radical but sought to unite all Malaysians.
