* New Book of Lee Kuan Yew

On Lee Kuan Yew’s latest book and what people are saying about it

Lets look at the facts.

Lee Kuan Yew is judging BN from a position of great familiarity, where he knows that the status quo maintains Singapore’s perceived superiority, after having worked with them since day one. So We have every reason to buy his observations of BN.
However, with due respect, the minister mentor have had limited to no involvement with Pakatan leadership or policies, and most definitely would have no experience of dealing with ‘post BN Malaysia’, therefore is in no position to comment on Pakatan’s prospective federal administration.

I think that the minister mentor has done a great job in building a nation that looks, smells, feels like Utopia. I am not about to comment on whether it is one or not, I will leave it to Singaporeans to do that through their ballot boxes.

I would however urge all Malaysians to hang fire on taking the Minister mentor’s words as gospel, and sit back in comtemplation of the following questions:

* Selamat Hari Raya

Jika jiwa sebening air, maka jangan keruhkan.

Jika hati seputih awan, jangan mendungkan.

Raih kemenangan dengan saling bermaafan.

Selamat Hari Raya Idul Fitri.

* Malaysia Gun Crime

The police and the home ministry should stop chastising politicians and putting blame non sensically fabricated scapegoats.

There is every likelihood this recent spike of violent gun crime is the work of criminal arms traders applying blue ocean strategy of kickstarting a market demand for firearms. They will capitalise on the inevitable scramble for guns for self defence, eapecially illegal ones.

There is already chatter through the grapevine that there are people procuring pistols both through legal and illegal means.

The government should be considering stamping out the source of the firearms and ammunition of these violent criminals and tackling that.

* Puasa Ramadhan
