Media Statement by YB Howard Lee CHuan How, State Secretary for DAPSY Perak and also State Legislative Assemblyperson for Pasir Pinji on this 9th of October 2013 in Ipoh.
I as its secretary, representing DAPSY Perak would like to hereby call for the immediate resignation of Home Minister Zahid Hamidi, as not only has he made statements that clearly indicates his racist tendencies, he has displayed behavioural traits that are befitting of a gangster leader.
It is a shame that the spirit of one-upmanship so spectacularly demonstrated by one UMNO Home minister after another, is seen only in the arena of debacles, wrongdoings and controversies, and not in making the country safer from crime. From the arrest of a journalist with the excuse of ensuring her safety by Syed Hamid Albar, to Hishamuddin Hussein’s laughable accusations of Anwar Ibrahim being a CIA agent. Now, eager to endorse the brand of racist politics UMNO delegates love so dearly, the current fool of a home minister is playing to the gallery in full make-up and costumes to boot.From the use of language, it is also apparent that our Home minister is a self-aggrandising, self-centred and self-serving individual whose every move is designed to fulfil his own political agenda, through the guise of serving some perverted version of greater good. For example, to show to UMNO delegates that he possesses more between the legs and is tough-er and on crime than his predecessors, whilst not forgetting to be the most racist. He does so by painting the picture of the recent PCA amendments were the sole efforts of his (undang-undang saya) to help the police in protecting the Malay community from vices and illegal activities made rife only by non malays.
Please remember Home Minister, crime distinguish neither creed nor colour! Or is that too far against your UMNO grains to acknowledge?
It would however seem, that this current home minister has taken it too many
steps too far. HE MUST GO to ensure we as a nation don’t become even more of a
laughing stock that we already are. Whilst the cabinet that he occupies a seat
in meaninglessly lauds the slogan of 1 Malaysia everywhere they appear, the
home minister in an official function openly admits that only one ethnic group
are and ought to be protected under his watch. This is racism and hypocrisy that
we must face in Malaysia.It doesn’t end there.
A Home minister is supposed to deal with gangsterism regardless race and allegiance with a vision to stamp it out altogether. But what we see and hear is that a certain one illegal organisation, which falls under his favour, is given an exception and as far as the minister has revealed, invitation to functions as well as encouragement to continue what it does.
Maybe it’s time for the prime minister to set up yet another ministry under the prime minister’s office specifically and especially to defend, protect, orchestrate and administer these thugs and gangsters.
Successful and civilised nations worldwide seek to close the gap between promises of their people’s ideals and the realities of their nations. We here is Malaysia seem to be taken further and further away by our ruling political elites , from our ideals of a fairer, more just, pluralistic, safer, better, more harmonious society, to the further polarised, racially tensed, kill or get killed, paranoid schizophrenic society.
It is clear that for the Home Minister views the support of The Malaysian public at large as secondary to the support of UMNO delegates in the upcoming UMNO elections. It is most likely that he is willing to sacrifice his ministership in defence of his vice presidency in UMNO, as his behaviour undeniably shows so. If that is the case, we call upon him to resign NOW to cease the embarrassment and shame he is bringing not only unto the Government, but also our Parliament and most importantly our beloved nation of Malaysia.

兵如港州议员兼行动党霹雳州社青团秘书李存孝促国家内政部长拿督斯里阿末扎希立即辞职，因为他不仅公开地作出了种族性的言论，其发表更似乎暴露了他与黑帮分子的密切关系。
巫统内政部长们一个接一个地做出一些不实的争议及荒谬的行为，这些低等的作风实在是国家的耻辱。自2008年，当时的内政部长赛哈密指为了保护记者陈云清的安全，所以采用内安令逮捕她。随后，另一任内政部长希山慕丁则对安华作出毫无根据的诬蔑，指他为中央情报局。如今，现届的阿末扎希则是个厚颜无耻的种族主义者，公开发表种族性谈话。
阿末扎希于上周六在“与社会领袖的治安汇报会”上自诩最近国会通过的1959年防范罪案法令修正案是他的功劳，更大言不惭地说这是“他的法律”，可见他是多么的目中无人。除此，他也表示大多数罪犯案件的受害者都是马来人，并且标签华人和印度人涉及非法活动居多，此法令的功用是用于保护马来族群及对付非马来族群的匪徒。
我们的内政部长，请您紧记干案的匪徒是不分种族的。
身为内政部长，阿末扎希已远远跨出了其分内责任。这边高举首相纳吉一个马来西亚的手势，那边霜则公开发表可耻的种族言论，这绝对不是一个多元种族国家的内政部长所应有的态度。这样的内政部长最终只会让马来西亚成为全世界的笑柄。
众所周知，内政部长最大的责任是不分种族地打击罪案，对付匪徒，但我们的内政部长则和黑帮分子称兄道弟。他不仅作出了偏帮马来私会党的言论，更以第一人称（我们）来形容该私会党，更荒谬的是，阿末扎希竟然呼吁该私会党继续去“做应该做的事情”。他的所作所为实在令人感到匪夷所思。
倘若内政部长的责任不是保护人民，反之是保护罪犯的话，那么，我国首相得设立一个专属部门去保护私会党及流氓社群了。
一个繁荣及文明的国家必须努力拉近人民的理想与现实之间的距离。但在马来西亚，人民的梦想往往被国家领袖们渐渐地毁灭。人民希望拥有的是一个公平，公正，多元化，安全及和谐的国家，但我们偏偏却逐渐迈向一个种族分裂，爱好厮杀及被杀的社会里。这是我们想要的国家吗？
我想，在阿末扎希坐上内政部长一职前，该学习如何做一个多元种族国家的人民，否则他没有资格担任这个职位。
